We believe in providing a safe working environment for all stakeholders and are committed to continuous improvement in our occupational health and safety performance.
Safety First
Our safety policy applies to all employees, visitors, and contractors working at our sites, and requires all manufacturing facilities to achieve certification to the health and safety standard ISO 45001 or equivalent.
By regularly auditing safety standards and performance, we ensure safety targets are being met at all locations and share results with local leadership teams, which then address all deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Since 2008, Dana has experienced year-over-year improvements in safety performance.
Product Quality & Safety
The quality and safety of our products is of utmost importance. We focus on ensuring that all the necessary safety measures are taken throughout the design, manufacture, and distribution of our products. Through our robust quality management system, as well as product safety and field action processes, we’re able to ensure the quality of products, eliminate warranty issues, and reduce scrap.
Dana’s functional safety standards are aligned to meet the requirements for ISO 26262 across all markets. These efforts have resulted in the reduction of incidents per million by one-third over the last five years.
