New Products

New 54R and 58R Mining Axles - We are keeping step in the mining market where we are the recognized market leader. As the vehicle demands grow we are developing new higher capacity axles and brakes. These new products are designed for Design for 20+ ton scoops and 60 Ton Trucks. New features include New High Capacity Differential and New Posi-Stop Brake.


 

Ag Brakes - To meet current market trends in the Agricultural Market we are developing brake technology to let tractors be driven at speeds up to 65 Km/h. This demand will require a new wet disc brake technology. The current outboard shaft speed brake concept will be replaced by a wheel speed brake concept. In doing so, we will leverage our deep knowledge and testing experience cumulated so far, on construction axles.


HSE 09 Transmission - With the development of the HSE 09 our product portfolio for hydrostatic transmissions for wheeled excavators, is expanding. This new electronically modulated transmission will cover the wheeled excavators up to 24 ton. Derivative products with speeds up to 50 Km/h and vertical mounting will be developed for other machines, such as telescopic boomhandlers. HSE 09 has unique vertical mounting and features electronically modulated controls for motors up to 160cc.


Single Pedal Drive and Brake by Clutch - Our controller not only controls our transmission, but also actively participates in the control of the driveline. Our electronic control technology of today allows us to control clutches in the slipping phase, not only for inching but also for braking the vehicle. In this way our controller is today fully integrated in the vehicle system. Utilizing our current knowledge solutions for X-by-wire, our new developments such as single pedal drive and brake by clutch will become important functionalities, and will further extend the usage of our transmission in various applications of the driveline. Our single pedal drive system developed for the material handling market segment, harnesses the customer's dream with our reality. We developed a drive and brake by wire system - the controller integrates the transmission electronic controlled inching and modulation functions with single throttle/brake pedal drive system. This is revolutionary in the material handling market, that has operated in two pedal mode for decades. Advantages are improved driver comfort and safety as well as increased productivity.


Spicer Italcardano Wing Bearing Style Driveshaft - Wing bearing design driveshafts are characterized by the fact that the transfer of the torque occurs through mechanical allowance, by means of keys placed on the bearing blocks. The keys are mated to corresponding slots machined on the connecting fitting yokes. This feature offers great advantages for all those applications characterized by continuous load variations or subject to shock loads. The main benefit of having bearing blocks directly connected to output flanges are: Smaller working angles, high flexibility of use, fittings for all application with short lengths, Quick dismantling of the whole shaft (4 bolts on each side), U-Joints can be replaced without completely disassembling the entire shaft. (Easy of maintenance). Torque capacities ranging from 800 Nm to 62,000 Nm.


Industrial Driveshaft - Fully Forged Heavy Duty Shaft with a rotation diameter 950 mm designed specifically for Böhler Bleche GmbH/Austria. The 498 series has been specially designed for tough conditions like you may find in particular in steel mills. The most innovative features you will find in the design and heat treatment of the drop forged journal cross. The shape, featuring geometrically soft transitions in notch sensitive areas, will undergo inductive hardening, so that we get a hard surface in the designated area in order to guarantee low stress gradients inductance hardening and case depth of up to 25mm is required. This requirement can only be fulfilled when using inductive hardening on the surface hardening. GWB can look back on decades of experience of inductive hardening. Be applying modern methods of calculation (FEM) we were able to optimize the potential for larger torque capacity in the GWB patented journal cross. Depending on the deflection angle (5°, 10° and 15°) the diameter of the journal cross can be adapted. The similarly forged bearing cups are hardened to the specification of the bearing manufacturers and come in notch less design. When reducing the diameter of the stud of the journal cross the created space can be used for larger bearing rolls. This results in an adjustment of the lifetime of bearings and torque respectively, tailor-made to customer specification. The high axial forces resulting from centrifugal acceleration of up to 50g are nicely absorbed by axial bearings made of low friction compound material. The sealing of the bearing is effected by a sealing ring which guarantees a high degree of seal-off due to its complex labyrinth. Since due in part to the application of aggressive emulsions, the conditions in the rolling mill operations are quite demanding on the material, grease nipples are made of stainless steel and the yoke additionally sealed with O-rings. The hirth serrated standard flange is sealed by GWB patented high grade steel rings.
