car like noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) standards
to the pickup truck, SUV and CUV market while retaining
characteristics of an authentic Dana axle -- rugged,
reliable and durable.
In 2001, the
challenge was set to design a new line of axles with
criteria established through thorough
benchmarking studies. The objective was to exceed the
best- in-class for NVH, fuel economy, durability,
contamination control as well as manufacturing and
assembly technology.
Some of the world’s most advanced axle designs were
benchmarked including prestigious German and Japanese
designs. The successful result is Dana’s new AdvanTEK®
axle. It offers the latest technologies for conserving
fuel, improving warranty and delivering world-class NVH
performance.
